How to Complete the Non-Technical Portions of Form 318: Media Access Project has produced a 38 page guide to help a first-time applicant fill out FCC Form 318 in order to apply for a low power radio license. There are 19 pages of instructions for filling out the form, and then attachments which include a sample of a completed application. If you have a fast Internet connection, you can download the whole guide in pdf format (425KB). If you have a slower connection, the instructions (61KB) can be downloaded separately from the attachments (354KB)
Guide to Filling Out FCC Form 318 Section V: Engineering Specifications Nan Rubin of Community Media Services has prepared a 17 page document that explains how to fill out the technical portions of FCC Form 318 and outlines technical requirements for LPFM station operators. If you have a fast Internet connection, the whole guide is available for download in pdf format (483KB). If you have a slower connection, you can download the instructions (61KB) separately from the attached sample form (425KB).
Finding your Geographic Coordinates and Elevation Above Sea Level for the LPFM Application Read instructions for how to find your geographic coordinates and elevation above sea level, which are required to fill out the FCC LPFM application, here.
Viewing LPFM Applications Online The FCC's Mass Media Bureau provides a website where applications can be viewed. Go to the link below, and select "FM Low Power" in the "Service" pull-down menu and "Original Construction Permit" in the "Application Type" pull-down menu. You can also search by city and/or state. (Remember to select the correct service, or you will receive search results that include all non-LPFM applications in that city or state as well).
